We need someone who knows what language is, and how it works. And can explain it to human and machine, both. Natural language parsing and generation. Will interface with lexical parsers. Knowledge of ontology and epistemology (as per metaphysics) would help greatly.

Specifically, the Computational Linguist will:
- Provide analysis of natural language sentences to fit into our data model (universal dependencies & Penn Treebank II tags)
- Measure and analyze the accuracy of the lexical parser
- Work on scaling, contextualization/disambiguation, further development of knowledge representation
- Development of common-sense ontology
- Incorporation of existing knowledge bases (SUMO, YAGO, CYC etc)
- Coordination with software engineers in implementation
- Collaborate with other Computational Linguists to integrate data
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s or higher degree in a relevant field (related to linguistics)
- 2+ years experience in computational linguistics (4+ years experience in related fields), language data processing, semantics, or philosophy of language
- Experience with language annotation and other forms of data markup
- Experience working with speech and text language data in multiple languages
- Fluency in English (second language is a plus - Korean, Japanese, Chinese)
